Perry Farrell Cancels Several Jane’s Addiction Shows

Jane’s Addiction hit the road to open for Smashing Pumpkins this fall; however, they’ve had to cancel some dates due to an unprecedented injury. Frontman Perry Farrell recently posted on his official Twitter account to inform fans about his current injury that has disrupted his ability to perform on stage.

“Friends and lovers, the tour so far has been an absolute blast, filled with so much joy and rock vibes,” said the frontman before giving their fans the bad news. “I’ve loved seeing all your faces, hearing you sing with us, and feeling the love and energy from every one of you. Especially all the people from my generation, and there have been many youngsters I have enjoyed speaking to. Good times.”

I suffered an injury that resulted in my inability to perform. I have since been in pain and discomfort and have received rigorous physiotherapy that has done wonders. Due to doctors’ orders, we regrettably and forcibly have to cancel the following shows, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, as well as Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City.”

After Farrell suffered an injury on their Madison Square Garden show, the frontman had to take a step back from performing due to doctors’ orders. Jane’s Addiction had to cancel several shows to allow Farrell’s recovery. The rocker wanted to thank their fans for their patience until he can be back on stage, presumably this Saturday in Cleveland.
