Cornhole Alley set to open Friday in Clinton Township

Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games cornhole alley is set to open Friday to a waiting fanbase at the site of a one-time grocery store in Clinton Township.

Designed with a backyard feel, players and customers may think they’re relaxing on a friend’s backyard deck, enjoying a cold brew and letting the bags fly in an indoor setting.

Located on Garfield Road, just south of Metro Parkway (16 Mile Road), Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games is a 16,000-square-foot cornhole alley that includes a full service bar, 11 cornhole lanes laid out in between artificial turf to resemble green grass, a large seating area featuring picnic tables and outdoor furniture, 15 large-screen TV’s and six projectors.

They’ve already signed dozens of teams to play in leagues and individual players are welcome as well for a $10 entry fee. Or there’s no charge if customers want to sit in the bar to watch a game or have a beverage.

They have a Class C liquor license to serve drinks and select craft beers. The building does not yet have an operational kitchen so for now, they’re hosting different food trucks in the parking lot offering pizza, tacos and other grub.
