After Neil Peart's death in January, following a 3-year battle with cancer, guitarist Alex Lifeson says he sees no reason to pick up the guitar and play. And when asked if he and his long time friend and bandmate Geddy Lee have discussed any future projects, Lifeson says, "Not really. It's been difficult. After Neil passed in January, I've played very little guitar. I don't feel inspired and motivated.”
He added, "I don’t know if the motivation is there for us to really do anything now. We’re certainly proud of our track record, and we still love music. But it’s different now.”
