That Time Joe Elliot Kidnapped David Bowie

When Joe Elliot saw David Bowie on Top Of The Pops in 1972, he immediately went out and bought The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, he was an instant fan.

Elliot has been quoted as saying, “David Bowie was an absolute idol to me when I was a kid,” “Without him, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing."

Fast forward to 1989 and Elliot, who by now had moved to Ireland, was an invited guest to a barbeque at Bono's house. Bono brings Joe upstairs to a room and says "I want to introduce you to someone."...and there on a snooker table is none other than David Bowie.
