Dumbass Darrell will be his name forever in rock n roll infamy. Darrell Washinton, who was supposed to guard a soundstage in Culver City back in 2012 where Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were rehearsing for their upcoming tour, instead tried to heist 5 of tom's vintage axes including a '67 Blonde Rickenbacker 12 string and an equally vintage Gibson SG possibly crafted at Gibson's old Kalamazoo guitar works. Lotta trees up there later ended up in the hands of famous rockers!! Anyway, Tom was heartbroken when he and the HB's returned from their break to find the missing instruments and put out a reward "no questions asked" for the safe return of those guitars. But the Culver City police were on it and returned them safely to Tom.
