Aerosmith held a moment of silence and at the Black Sea Arena in Batumi, Georgia, on May 20 before performing their 1973 classic "Dream On" in dedication to Chris Cornell, who passed away last week.
Frontman Steven Tyler sat at a piano while an image of Cornell was projected behind him. “Let’s take a moment of silence for Chris Cornell,” Tyler asked the crowd. “Dear God, may this man forever dream on.”
Cornell passed away on May 17th right after performing at a Soundgarden concert in Detriot. His death was ruled a suicide by investigators. Tributes have poured in from the music world since the tragic news broke with performances from Megadeth, Stone Sour, Bush and more.
